Term 1 Week 5 Weekend Assignment

Eyes shining like uncut diamonds, the bronze statue stood guard before the school which he had crafted and founded by himself. Although it had to bear with rain and sunshine, it stood there, as unmoving as the school spirit itself. The playful wind caressed it. At night, the moon was a torchlight which highlighted its eyes, a gleaming brown.

Day and night it stood guard, overseeing the students in the field playing and running around. Oh how it wished he could play alongside them, to experience life! However, he had been made for a reason, and that was to remember the late Tan Kah Kee, who was a great philanthropist.

It was aware of the distant ticking of the clock behind him. Time passed like running water, translucent and fluid. Many have forgotten that the foundation of their success was there, and fewer had care to do something in return

As the sun went down once more, it remained at its post, unmoving.
